May Magpies

Overview

The May Magpies website is a growing site dedicated to families who are adopting from China and looking to interact as a group, as well as to provide information and updates on the current status of Chinese adoption and other relevant news. In it's current form, the site is getting more than 50,000 unique visitors a month. As a result May Magpies was looking to redesign their current site to take advantage of their growing market.

Objective

May Magpies contacted ImMedia to help them create a new and improved website that would be able to better display large pieces of information and images, as well as enable users to more accurately locate new and updated information. May Magpies was looking to take advantage of growing traffic generated through their site. Also, May Magpies wanted a greater ease of use when updating content and images within their site.

Solution

ImMedia worked with May Magpies to meet and exceed their current site design, so as to create a more eye pleasing display for their users. We developed a new user interface from the ground up that utilized more vibrant colors, flash and a layout with enhanced readability using CSS. As their navigation would need to be more fluid we retained the side navigation, while also adding basic navigation at the top and bottom of the page. We then added a robust Content Management System which would then allow multiple users to access and update their site, greatly alleviating the updating process of their current staff. We then developed a solution that would utilize various banner networks to create revenue for group.
